2012 Carriage Trade Equestrian Hunt January 1-21

2012 Carriage Trade Equestrian Hunt January 1-21

Thank you for your interest in the Carriage Trade Equestrian Hunt, presented by the owner of Carriage Trade, an Equestrian Lifestyle Estate.

The Equestrian Hunt begins on December 1st and runs through midnight on December 21st. Hunters are seeking 20 Horseshoe objects, each containing one or more Equestrian-themed items. The Horseshoes are hidden throughout our estate, which includes Carriage Trade and Carriage Trade North. They may be hidden in shops, public areas or parks, which may include the public areas of the livery and the Welcome Area. They will NOT be hidden in residents’ homes or stalls, so please do not enter residents’ homes or stalls. Repeat: no Horseshoes are hidden in any private homes, stables or stalls.

To hunt successfully, select the Horseshoe and ‘buy’ it for 0L. You will receive a folder cleverly named ‘Object’ in your Inventory.

While you are hunting, please behave with decorum and respect to all visitors and residents. Please do not harass the staff of Carriage Trade during your hunt. We have created lovely prize items, we know you want them, but it takes our joy out of doing the hunt if we are harassed or if you complain about the prizes. If they are not to your taste, you may always leave and discontinue the hunt.

Please do not harass the residents or visitors to Carriage Trade. We seek to keep everyone comfortable whether visiting or living here. Carriage Trade is a roleplay estate, and we ask that you comply with our dress code while visiting with us. We have several appropriate outfits available free of charge in our free roleplay mall the Welcome Area.

While you are in our estate, please observe the following rules: NO nudity. NO profanity. NO sexual roleplay of any kind. NO begging for sex, money, or anything else. NO age play. NO wearable horses. NO children, fantasy or anthro avatars (this means no furries, dragons, etc.). NO weapons or violence of any sort. While in general, we warn visitors once if they are transgressing and send them home, we do eject and ban if our requests are not met. Thank you, and have a happy and fun hunt!

You Are Invited: Our Second Life Birthday 8 Exhibit

The Carriage Trade SL8B Exhibit in Second Life!

Hey folks! It’s that time once again, when Second Life is celebrating its anniversary!

We have a lovely exhibit at the SL8B celebrations, on the Stunning region. Our exhibit is a miniature version of Carriage Trade and we are celebrating the magical, majestic horses of Second Life.

We're showcasing the Royal Weddings, too!

We would like to invite all of you to come and participate in the exhibit, by riding on the carousel, ‘performing’ as a circus horse, posing on the Cinderella Carriage photo op, standing in the stall, or simply lounging under the apple tree.

Our Carousel @ SL8B

We have many fun gifts hidden away in the exhibit, such as in the windfall apples, the tack trunk, and more. We are participating in the Octoberville hunt. And we’ve added a lot of interactivity including an Eye Visit mini-tour of the exhibit. And we’ve even left enough prim allowance and space to be able to rez out carriages!

The stable display...check out the slide show!

The exhibit opens at 10 am  SLT on Monday, June 20th. We won’t schedule people and horses to be there, (nightmare!) but come on by and hang out, and meet new people.  There’s always a big crowd on the first day and then things get a bit less hectic. We’ll also plan some fun driving events, since when else willw e get 21 regions laid out so ideally for driving?

Take a video tour by sitting on the camera, and then take pictures of a friend on the Cinderella photoopp!

When you come: please make sure you have reduced the scripts in your avatar. Also, once you step off our plot, you should remove your sound attachment, because scripts don’t work on the walkways and your sound attachment will become ‘stuck’ on whatever gait you were in when you left the plot.

Here are the important dates:

June 20—10:00 a.m. SLT: Gates open to the public!
June 23—The Birthday! Special ceremonies included!
June 26—Last day of entertainment.
July 2—Gates close at 11:59 p.m. SLT

The Livery @ Carriage Trade

The Livery @ Carriage Trade

The livery service at Carriage Trade offers our visitors and guests an opportunity to rent one or more horses for dates, special events, and for just every day riding around.  If a visitor wishes to ensure that one or more horses are available for riding, they simply purchase a a 15-minute or 30-minute voucher form our voucher vendor or SL Marketplace.

Call a horse by ‘touching’ its paging board in the livery, and when it arrives, present it with the voucher.

The horse will saddle up, help you get mounted, and take you off for a 15- or 30-minute ride! Of course, horses are available for longer times and you can always request a favorite horse!

Core hours of operation: Sun-Saturday, 7 am SLT to 8 pm SLT.  Outside of these hours horses may be available, but no guarantee.  Please visit the livery to see which horses are available if you want immediate service.

1.    Vouchers are sold in the SL marketplace and the Carriage Trade Livery in the Carriage House.  Vouchers consist of no-mod, no-copy tickets. Riders may purchase these vouchers in 15-minuteand 30-minute vouchers.  Each Voucher is redeemable for 15 minutes or 30 minutes of riding/person/horse.

2.      Vouchers can be used with any of the CT Livery horses that are available to ride.

3.      Horses are registered in the livery stable and have a livery prim for paging purposes.

4.    Vouchers should be given to the horse at the time of rental.  Riders should expect these no-copy vouchers to leave their inventory and go to the horse.  The horse must have a voucher before it will leave the livery yard.

5.    Horses can accept tips for exceptional service.

6. Riders may request that the horse take the bit or that the rider be given the reins.

7. Please! keep it PG, no verbal or RP abuse of our horses.  CT Livery horses are allowed to dump any rider who misbehaves towards them; and that rider’s bad behavior will be logged, sent to management, and the rider’s access removed from Carriage Trade Estate,

Changes to the Livery & Service

Effective immediately, we have changed the livery and the livery service rates.

Based on our discussions over the weekend, we have received enough input to change the rates as following:

15 minutes/rider/horse, $300L
30 minutes/rider/horse, $500L
Carriage Rides: $1,000L/carriage/30 minutes  (1 horse/carriage, multiple riders)

We have also added Tour Guide stalls, where those horses who have been selected as guides will live and meet visitors.  As ever, all horses are encouraged to meet new visitors and to encourage them to learn about Carriage Trade and to have fun doing it!
