New in the Tack Room @ Carriage Trade: Candy Coats for the Water Horse Avatar

Carriage Trade’s Candy Coats for the Water Horse avatar are a new hand painted series of coat textures for the Water Horse avatars.   Handpainted shadows and highlights give new definition to the avatar.

The coats are delivered via script, each carefully labeled for ease of use.  Scripts are no mod, copy, no transfer.  Each script will retexture the appropriate body part and set the various parameters – all you need to do is drop them in, following our simple instructions. No more fussing with manual changes to your avatar parts, just drop, touch, and go!

For Candy Coats to give you best results, you MUST know how to edit prims. No customer support is available for this. If you need to know how to edit prims, please see the Second Life Wiki or visit Builder’s Brewery, where basic editing classes are taught.

Candy Coats are  available in:
Pleasing Peppermint, Twisted Licorice Heaven, Orange Dreamsicle, Dark Chocolate Mocha Swirl, Butterscotch Brownie, Marshmallow Splendor, and, Luscious Lemon Lollipop, in addition to Quest and Hunt coats.

**Using your Carriage Trade Candy Coat Scripts**

The Carriage Trade Candy Coats are a new, hand painted series of coat textures for the Water Horse avatars.

The textures are delivered via scripts, which will both retexture as well as change the orientation/angle/repeat/offset of the texture on the selected body part.  The scripts are designed to self-delete as soon as they have done this, so you do not have additional laggy scripts running.  If you do not like a face or leg marking, just keep dropping scripts into the part till you find something you like.

What is in your package:
Notecard, boxed backup scripts, and scripts for each of the parts of your Water Horse avatar.

********Using your scripts to color your avatar*************

1. Rez out all of your parts of your avatar.

2.  Open an Edit window (Control-3) and click the “Edit Linked Parts” box.

4. Select ONLY the prim you want to retexture and carefully drag the matching script into the folder in the Content tab of the prim. This is particularly important with the Ears, Jaw, and Head/Neck/Eyes.

5.  Touch the prim. The script will instantly retexture the prim and change the offsets and repeats and delete itself. Don’t worry if you don’t see it in the prim, it did what it was supposed to do!

6. Rename your prim parts to the color, and take back into inventory.

7. Wear your new coat!

*****Mistakes will happen********
But don’t worry. The scripts are copiable, so you can make mistakes and just go back and fix it.

Watch out that you don’t just ‘drop’ the script onto a link set. It will retexture the root prim (whatever that is) but it may or may not retexture the prim you wanted to have retextured.

Also, work on ‘ground’ not on another prim.

Announcing the Interactive Arabian Tack Set for the Water Horse Avatar

Interactive Arabian Tack Set

Carriage Trade is pleased to announce the introduction of the interactive Arabian Nights tack set!

Simple and easy to use, our Interactive Arabian Nights set  takes roleplay to new levels.  the Arabian Nights set includes an interactive bridle, saddle and saddle bags, all with simple touch technology!

Saddles & Bridles both feature interactive capabilities that let the rider interact easily and quickly with the saddled and bridled horse.   Touch each of the parts (Saddle, Bridle or Saddlebags)  for a menu of options.  You can roleplay stealing the horse or a gem from its harness, tacking or untacking, and even removing its saddle & bridle, without the horse’s help!  Saddlebags include roleplay items that can be obtained from the bags, such as a gemstone, a spell book, a load of bread, and more. Horses can choose to let riders interact with them or not, and can even block riders from interacting with their saddle or bridle!

The Carriage Trade Interactive Arabian Nights Tack set comes in 14 different colors, with custom textures created especially for this release.  The sets have been developed for the Water Horse Arabian mod and the Breeder’s Choice Arabian Mod.

Saddles, bridles and saddlebags may be modified and copied, so you can easily change  aspects to the sets.  Saddles attach tot he stomach, bridles to the mouth, and saddle bags to the chest. All three may be worn at once, or in combinations.

The scripting is no mod, no transfer, and there are only three scripts in the set!

Come pick up your set at Carriage Trade.

Wedding Livery Horse Types

Rattling grain bucket….

Hey horses, look up out of your pastures, and read the following about the horse types we will be using for the wedding livery service. This pertains only to the wedding livery. All other ridden livery service uses horses of all colors, types, and breeds.

We can place black drafters, white (Lighter Shades of Grey) drafters, black light horses, pearl light horses, and white (Lighter Shades of Grey)  light horses. All horses must be unmodified, except for their coat color in the case of the white horses.  We will not place Arabians, Friesians, Lippizanners, or any other non-standard horse types.  We will not place horses that have different coat colors than the ones shown.  This applies only to horses working weddings.

Why are we so restrictive? Matching a single horse is obviously not a problem, but when you have to match 2 or even 4 horses, we cannot hoof hold and approve each individual modification to the wedding service.  In order to ensure that the wedding service runs smoothly, we need to be able to call in horses who can agree to appear in the following coat colors and body types.

About manes: again, out of the box mane styles, unless the wedding party has made other choices.  In the event that this occurs, the Equerry will distribute the new style to you or otherwise ensure that you can acquire the requested style.  Manes may be either left, right or both, and should be the longer style. Tails should be the standard out of the box tails, either white or black.

Markings are up to the individual horse. We will not match markings unless a bride makes a specific request.

Now, the coat colors/breed types!

"White" Light Horse. Standard Light Horse, unmodified except for coat color Lighter Shades of Grey.

"Pearl" Light Horse, from the Standard 'Cremello/Unicorn" as it appears from the Vendor Box

Standard Black Light Horse, EXACTLY as it comes from the Vendor Box

Standard Unmodified Drafter with Lighter Shades of Grey Coat (aka 'White Great Horse')

Standard Black Drafter As It Appears from the Vendor
