New @ The Tack Room: Team & Singleton Drafter Step-in Carts!

A Stylish and elegant cart for all your driving needs

New In the Tack Room @ Carriage Trade: A drafter-sized Step-In Cart in both Singleton and Team orientation.

These step-ins have been developed specifically for the original WH drafter horse.  These carts are beautifully detailed and feature scripted sidelamps, an attached buggy whip, reins, and shafts adjusted for either singleton or team driving.  In addition, they have been balanced and tuned to deliver a superb driving experience so that even the novice horse or driver can have a smooth experience their first time out.

The team step-in even includes reinds and a buggy whip as well as side lamps!

The Step-Ins use a combination of sculpts and regular prims and careful scripting and texture work to create a showcase cart that is both stylish and functional.

The Step-Ins come in Black, White, Wine, Princess Pink, Hunter, and Navy and seat two passengers, plus one or two horses. Singleton and team carts are sold separately

The Drafter Singleton Step-in is well-balanced and ideal for estate driving.

********About Carriage Trade Pony Carriages********

These products are sold Copy, NO MOD, NO TRANSFER.  The reason for this is simple: Our additions to the basic carriage (animations, poses, gestures, and other add-ons) are precisely placed so that they orient the driver, rider, or particle effect precisely. Changing the carriage by trying to do a simple resize for other sized avatars will  result in an unhappy experience for the purchaser.  We’ve had enough complaints from people trying to resize our carriages (who didn’t realise the reason their driver ended up embedded in the seat or worse was because of the scripting), that we decided to not allow modification to the carriages.

Happy Driving!

The Carriage Trade Carousel in Second Life

Quad-horse Carousel in Carriage Trade in Second Life

The Carriage Trade Carousel is unique in Second Life.  Instead of texture or prim horses, our  Jumpers and Standers are actually provided by playful quad horse avatars!

The carousel was created with original texture work and with extensive sculptification providing the stretchers and carousel poles.  The carousel is patterned from several original carousels from the Golden Age of the Carousel, in the early 20th century, with nods to such carousel styles as the Philadelphia style of Gutsva Dentzel’s Philadelphia Toboggan Company and the ‘Coney Island’ style of Charles Carmel, Marcus Charles Illions, Soloman Stein and Harry Goldstein.

Very few authentic wooden carousels from this time period are still in existence in the physical world.  The carousel horses themselves are collector’s items, garnering tens of thousands of dollars for a well-preserved specimen in its original park paint.  As a result, historic carousels are often broken apart and sold for their components rather than as an entire machine.

Our carousel is reminescent of these gorgeous machines, and features carousel music Blaze Away, courtesy of Roger Wiegland.  Mr. Wiegland graciously gave us permission to use a piece of music he recorded on his carousel organ, the Diamond Jubilee, an 89-key Gaviol steam organ.  Please see his web site here: http://www.carouselorgan.com/
